epicFAIL#™ is an AI content-farming-resistance label and documentation project established in 2018 by Art of FACELESS in response to systematic intellectual property theft by automated content generation operations.

ON AI, TOOLS, AND THE REAL FIGHT
We are NOT anti-AI.
We USE AI tools. AI assists our research. It’s part of our creative toolkit alongside 3D rendering, analogue photography, and 40 years of classical music training.
Tools don’t make art. People do.
The fight isn’t AI. The fight is the PLATFORMS.
While artists kick each other over brushes vs. Photoshop vs. Stable Diffusion, platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Google host INDUSTRIAL-SCALE BOT OPERATIONS that flood search results with spam, steal traffic, and bury human creators under algorithmic garbage.
Stop kicking other artists.
We’ve been moshers our whole lives. Working-class Cardiff. SPMS. Zero budget. Constant adaptation. Our “career” is just transferable skills and putting out new fires.
The people crying about AI “destroying art” aren’t mourning creativity; they’re mourning the gate that used to excuse their own stagnation.
Now we find out what’s actually behind the curtain: either you have vision and build it, or you don’t.
THE REAL PROBLEM:
Platform-enabled content farms that:
- Monitor trademark databases for brands to exploit
- Generate AI spam at an industrial scale
- Flood platforms with keyword-stuffed garbage
- Steal SEO, traffic, and visibility from human creators
- Face ZERO consequences from platforms
That’s what we’re fighting. Not the artist using Midjourney. Not the writer using Claude. Not the musician using AI stems.
The platforms hosting bot operations.
The content farms stealing from established artists.
The algorithmic systems that can’t tell human from spam.
OUR APPROACH:
Make creativity so confusing that their heads spin. Build systems to protect the VISION, not police the TOOLS.
epicFAIL# documents:
- OUR failures (yup, that’s important too).
- THEIR failures (AI spam farms trying to ride our trademarks)
- Platform failures (hosting industrial bot operations)
We celebrate adaptation. We fight exploitation.
TO ALL ARTISTS AND CREATIVES:
Stop kicking each other. Stop being holier-than-thou about tools. Get a fucking grip.
The future belongs to the MOSHERS and the ADAPTERS. The people building, documenting, and protecting their work while everyone else argues about the purity of their hammer.
A big part of AI for our group of misfits is accessibility. Tools that let disabled creators build. Tools that let working-class artists compete. Tools that democratise production.
Artists giving other artists a kicking? Sick to behold.
Give the PLATFORMS a kicking instead.
Divide and conquer has always been the working class’s Achilles heel. Don’t fall for it.
Fight the right enemy.
Welcome to epicFAIL#.
epicFAIL# operates on two fronts:
1. Music Label & Creative Platform
epicFAIL# releases music and creative works for The Hollow Circuit™, a transmedia project established in 2012 by multimedia artist and researcher Awen Null of Art of FACELESS.
Our flagship artist, Lloyd MSUX, is an independent member of Art of FACELESS who records for The Hollow Circuit™ under the epicFAIL# label, writing, creating, and producing sound that exists outside the constraints of a human body.
All releases are:
- Timestamped and archived
- Documented with full creative provenance
- Protected under comprehensive IP protocols
- Created by verified human artists with documented creative histories
2. IP Defense & Artist Advocacy
epicFAIL# documents cases of AI content farm theft targeting independent artists and provides resources for creative professionals facing similar exploitation.
We maintain:
- The Hall of Shame: A public archive of documented IP theft cases with timestamped evidence
- Defense Protocols: Practical toolkits for artists protecting their intellectual property
- Community Resources: Artist solidarity networks and evidence-sharing platforms
- Case Studies: In-depth analysis of content farm operations and platform complicity
Why This Matters
AI content farms operate at scale and speed impossible for human creators to match. They scrape established intellectual property, generate synthetic works using stolen terminology and concepts, then flood distribution platforms to bury original creators in search results.
Traditional legal responses are too slow. Platform reporting systems are inadequate. Artists need immediate, public documentation strategies.
epicFAIL# turns theft into evidence and builds collective defense infrastructure.
The Name
epicFAIL# – Where the epic failure belongs to the thieves, not the artists. Every documented case of IP theft becomes a permanent record. Every attempt to steal creative work becomes part of their public archive.
The hashtag location is deliberate: this is a movement, not just a label. It is the ultimate visual representation of an epic fail.
Who We Are
epicFAIL# was founded by Awen Null and operates as part of the Art of FACELESS collective based in Cardiff, Wales.
Awen Null is a multimedia artist and researcher who left medical research to pursue independent creative work. They have been developing The Hollow Circuit™ as a complex transmedia universe since 2012, spanning novels, visual art, photography, and music. Awen maintains strict facelessness protocols as both an aesthetic choice and a security practice.
Lloyd MSUX is the Cardiff rapper persona adopted by the collective when confronting IP theft directly – working-class punk aesthetic meets hip-hop truth, trapped in a 65-year-old body, neurodegenerative and degenerate, with zero tolerance for synthetic bullshit.
Seren, the Creatrix of Art of FACELESS, with a psychology and journalism background, handles editorial and strategic coordination.
Our Approach
Clinical Documentation – Every claim is backed by timestamped evidence, Internet Archive captures, and verifiable publication records.
Public Transparency – All evidence is published openly. Legal notices provide clear dispute resolution processes.
Community Defense – Individual artists can’t fight content farms alone. Collective documentation and mutual support create sustainable resistance.
Strategic Positioning – We don’t just file takedowns. We build evidence archives that demonstrate systematic platform failure and industry-wide complicity.
Creative Sovereignty – Real artists with real histories creating real work, documented and defended.
Current Focus: The Hollow Circuit™ Case Study
The Hollow Circuit™ serves as epicFAIL#’s primary case study – a 14-year transmedia project with extensive documentation now targeted by multiple AI content farms deploying stolen terminology across music streaming platforms.
Our response includes:
- Trademark applications for key terms
- Comprehensive evidence archives
- Public documentation of platform failures
- Community building for artist solidarity
- Legal consultation and strategic defense
This isn’t just about protecting our work. It’s about establishing precedent for how independent artists can fight back against industrialised IP theft.
